SPORTSMEN CLASSES
For the 2010 American Hot Rod Association Reunion Tour we are looking at a variety of “old” style classes, as well as classes incorporating “new” technology. We are open to any combination that racers in the various regions want and would support. Our goal is to give sportsmen racers a place for their cars to be competitive without having to burden them with any additional expenses. If you have any suggestions, we would welcome your input. We are open to incorporating parts from the various listings:

Ultimate velocity race cars constructed of chromoly steel tubing and carbon- fiber composite. Super charged and injected, these cars boost 8,000 HP and can eclipse the quarter mile with sub- 5- second times at over 350 M.P.H.
Similar power trains to Top Fuel allow these shorter, wider and full- bodied cars to come very close in both E.T. and M.P.H. to matching the dragster’s performance within fractions of a second.
Similar to their fuel relatives with carbon fiber bodies and chromoly chassis, their main difference is the use of methanol instead of nitro with blown cars. They run mid 5 second E.T.’s at 250 M.P.H.
Similar in construction and looks to their Top Fuel cousins. However, if super charged, they are restricted to methanol fuel and no nitro. Injected versions may use nitro- methane. The vehicles are capable of low 5 second runs at speeds exceeding 250 M.P.H.
Ultimate evolution of steel- bodies production cars. Built around tube chassis and four- link rear suspension. Powered by gasoline fed through dual carburetors those technological marvels run in mid 6 second range, at over 200 M.P.H.
Highly modified vehicles including V-Twin engines from Harley Davidson and Buell as well as In Line 4- Cylinder from Suzuki and Kawasaki. V- Twins are limited to 160 cubic inches, while the high revving 4- Cylinders have a max limit of 101 cubic inches. Fuel injection is permitted.
